Welcome to the QuickTime Showcase CD-ROM for the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh. This CD showcases the very best demonstrations of Apple's QuickTime technology. The CD requires that you have QuickTime 2.5 or later installed on your Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh, which is shipped pre-installed. However, if you have disabled QuickTime using Extensions Manager, or have removed it from your Extensions folder, the CD will not run.
This CD-ROM has been specifically designed and optimized to run on the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh. Due to the full use of the increased viewing area of 800x600 pixels, the CD will not perform successfully when displayed at 640x480.
To start, just double-click the 'QuickTime Showcase' icon on the CD-ROM. However, for best performance running the CD, first drag the folder titled "Drag to HD" to your hard disk, then open the folder, and double-click the 'QuickTime Showcase' icon.
Technical Notes
The QuickTime Showcase contains a demonstration of the Beatnik audio streaming technology from Headspace. If you launch this demo from within the QuickTime Showcase application, be sure to quit it (using the File menu 'Quit' command) before returning to the Showcase. The Beatnik demo temporarily controls the volume of your computer, and will not release control until the demo application is quit.
